Subject: Question on Oranda's.....

Hello, I'm new here. I own one Betta named Harper. He lives in a ten gallon tank by himself (there is a heater and a filter). Recently I've decided to buy a fifty gallon tank because I'm interested in Oranda's. They are just so beautiful! Would two Oranda's fit into a fifty gallon tank comfortably? I know that goldfish need ten gallons per fish and that fancy varaties need twenty gallon per fish because of how much ammonia they produce, and I want to do this right. Another question is about my Betta. Recently he's developed a lump of sorts on his side. Only one side and no scales are sticking up. Other then that he is acting normally. His water is changed weekly and the water is dechlorinated and the same temperature as the water removed. Could this lump be anything other than a tumor? If it is a tumor should I put him down? THanks in advance for any advice I might get:)
