my mollie has just had her babies about 3 days ago. i bought a breeder net awhile back and as soon as i got her i knew she was going to have babies i just didn't know how soon. i kepted her in the net for more than a month until she had her babies. When i do this there is a greater chance that if she has her babies when i'm not home that they don't have to hide from all the other fish. My mollie doesn't really eat her babies. one of my other mollies had her babies in the net and she ended up having about 35 or more and there didn't look like there were many in there when i found them, but they hid in the plants i put in the net. you could wait til she is going to give birth a week before that and then put her in. i had guppies once, but i don't think i knew enough about them and they ended up having babies in the tank with the other fish. you could buy two nets and have one for the mollie and the other for the guppie. i hope this works out for you. becky
