Lets clear up a few things
All starrett city peace officers take a test to get the job, they also go through vigorous amounts of training. they study the penal law, have to qualify each yr with there firearms, to keep the job. they have the full authority to apprehend perps, they do the paper work nypd does not do it for them. the only thing we need pd for is their finger printing machine to put the perp in the system. the perp stays in a cell while the starrett officer finshes the paper work the starrett city officer the next day speak with the district attorneys office. remember starrett is in east ny. and without the officers it would turn into a project. that is why they are their, management wants to keep the tenants safe. please respect these officers
