(She was trying so hard not to hurt, but he was making that very difficult on her without knowing it.. in fact he was making it hard on her by trying not to hurt her. She shrugged a little, her lips pursed, trying to figure out if he meant her wrist or her heart, and the answer was pretty much the same for both.) I would be lying if I said it didn't hurt a little bit. (She admitted, her eyes saddening at his next words.. hell, she wanted him to take care of her.. like she had never wanted a man to care for her before.. and it was ironic because he couldnt and she was feeling like she was spying with the way he was drunk. She slipped her hand into his and twined their fingers on his thigh, watching him through sad and concerned eyes, wanting desperately to wake up and find that they could be together. She hated hearing him doubt himself, knowing that Gia had done this to him.. it ached inside her... it burned inside her.) Stop now.. don't sell yourself short, you're the most amazing man I have spent any quality time with.. (And in any other situation I might have let myself fall in love with you.. But the truth of the matter was that Gia would get better and that she already had him.. no one could hurt you unless you let them and you had to care about them to let them.. this man was broken and had to find himself before he could let someone else in. She blushed a little at his praise though, having not really considered how she looked when she was sleeping. She gave away the fact that she wanted him so much nearer by closing her eyes when he touched her, this was starting to really really hurt her.. )
