In that first one, he's showing some flashes of Owen Wilson. I think you have a future movie star on your hands :)

If that isn't the cutest darn child I've seen, then slap me around and call me Ethel!

He's just adorable, Trish. It's taking every fiber of my being to keep myself from driving up there and devouring him for dinner.

YEAH, Trish! He is getting so big and looks just like Paul, I tell ya!

He is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see pics of your newest little addition when he/she makes their debut.

Email me sometime when you get a chance!

Unfortunately, there will no longer be a new addition. I'll e-mail you about that later.

He is now a week away from being 15 months old and he is just all over the place.

He's got about a 30 word vocab so far and it's just amazing how much he picks up.

Oh, Trishy, I'm so sorry. I've been there, doll, so let me know if you want to talk.

My little guy isn't talking yet, but he can definitely find things. He's my silent partner. Our ped wants us to have him evaluated for speech delay. I think part of the problem is that he's really shy, just like his Daddy was at that age. We'll see!

Talk to you soon.

Don't worry about the speech delay Carson. If your pediatrician wants it, is only because they reccommend it.

In Canada they test all children for speech delay at 18 months. It's more of a general screening, to get kids in for speech therapy if they think they need it. Boys are usually late anyway. My son though didn't really talk until he was almost 3 and he had 3 yrs with a speech therapist. I would say if your son isn't saying any words by 2yrs, then I would be concerned.

One of my cousins didn't talk until he was almost 5. He's now a very bright, outgoing, giant-hearted college sophomore with a full-ride football scholarship.

For whatever reason, he just wasn't ready to talk until then.

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone. Yeah, I'm not too worried, but I there is just that little paranoid part of me that gets concerned that something is really wrong.

Have your toddlers been drawing on the walls yet? My Carly likes the walls better than paper, I'm almost tempted to tape paper on the walls for her.First I use soap and water to wipe it off and when that doesn't work the Mr.Clean magic eraser does! Holding a pencil is one of the skills they need to learn, she also can feed herself with a toddler fork or spoon.
:)

I think London has Paul's brain and my mouth - which means he's rambling like a champ.

From everything I can tell, you have awhile before worrying about talking. I wouldn't stress about if it I were you.

A child I was a nanny for, refused to talk for 2 years and then he just went on and on and on. He picked up so much, because he spent so much time observing and grasping the concepts of the words.

I would prefer London understood more concepts then word. Petting the cat and saying badger = heh, but eek.

He didn't even consider tlaking until he got comfortable at daycare.

Ahh, daycare. Pick him up and found out he's been snacking in the sensory tables. Sigh, at least the rice was vegan.

Thuggy

Last pic. . for now

I won't get the other pics in that series out. He decided he wanted to be a stripper and one by one started pulling all his clothes off. But he started stripping and then when i stopped him, he started stealing the cat treats.

"when i stopped him, he started stealing the cat treats"

That's what I normally do too.

My cousin didn't talk for years, he would just grunt and I would translate for him - even though he's a year or so older than me! His first words weren't "mama" and "papa", they were something ridiculous like: "Mummy, Mrs Smith down the road is very old, isn't she?".

I didn't start talking until I was 14.

It's normal. No, really...trust me.

I wouldn't worry about a first child not talking right away. Later children seem to pick it up quick from brothers and sisters, but all the first child has to watch is you. I think first children also have a more grown up vocab when it comes and are usually more adult-like than their someday siblings will be.

Trish - He's just adorable!

Taurus - your girl sounds like my friend's kids. They decided to surprise Mom and Dad by drawing a snow man on each step of their new home!
