Blue Screen Confessional.....
Forgive me, for I have sinned.
I have enjoyed a Nickelback song,[Savin Me] and even turned the radio up and sang along.
This has happened before with the Spiderman theme song Hero, [Chad Kroeger and Josey Scott].
How shall I attone for this sin??

My first thought was, "what's wrong with that? I like Nickel Creek also. They play some fine bluegrass!" But then I re-read. Amadaun, there is no hope. I fear you've been lost.
tee hee hee....

23 lashes with a length of barbed wire should just about do it. Oh, and then you have to donate some money to your local arts fund to counter-balance having enjoyed some non-art.

Yesterday the guys on the radio were saying exactly the samething about that Nickelback song. They concluded that there is probably a song for everyone to enjoy on the cd and that's why Nickelback is successful.
Personally I can't stand Chad Kroeger and I don't like their sound, so not for me.

Carson, I think I need a night out on the town.....and I'm gonna get one, yeehaa!!!
Just booked tickets for a gig at a little venue in town~ holds about 400. Local band called Pluto,[Pipe Line Under the Ocean]who have a danceable rock sound. Should be crazy in the mosh pit.
Taking the kids as well, it's an all ages gig.
Can't wait, Can't wait......the last live act I saw was Audioslave about 3? years ago.
This should clear the cobwebs out......

Oh, that sounds awesome! I haven't been to a live gig since AS in 2002! It's pretty crazy.
I hope you have a great time. I'm actually getting out of the house tonight, too, and by myself. I'm going to a birthday party. What is this world coming to when mommies get to get away for a while?! Cats and dogs playing together, caricatures of Muhammed being shown with no protest....(I'm going to hell for that last one)

Carson, its so difficult to get out when your kids are small.
So have a good time and enjoy leaving the house without carrying a bag full of nappies and spare clothes with you!!

It definitely is, A. And of course, I feel bad leaving him behind. I am the one who always gives him his bath and puts him to bed, so I was a little sad not doing that on Friday night. It's our little time. I tell ya, though, it felt really good to be out. I had a great time!

I really liked Creed's My Own Prison before I heard or saw anything else out of them. Is that ok? :o

The lead singer was listed on World's Fugliest Rockers, and I didn't think that was fair. And he was likable on MTV's Cribs.
But no matter what they sing, I hear "She's just a woman." And I friggin' hate that song.
You need to be forced to listen to the song I hear 15 times in a row!

I hate when you get really bad songs stuck in your head, too. I tell ya, I had Aqua Lung stuck in my head for 3 months straight one time...uh....pisses me off just thinking about that song....stupid Jethro Fuckin' Tull. Bastards....

Re: Creed....... -- amadaun, 19:34:29 04/11/06 Tue [1]
Yeah, I must also own up to having a copy of Creed's first album. The one with My Own Prison on it.
But it's a surprisingly good album, all fresh and creative ~ before they got stuck in the 'keep to the formula, and make truck loads of money' groove.
