Subject: Hidden Gems (albums)
I was listening to Jimi Hendrix's cd Crash Landing and I was thinking what a gem it was. I don't think that cd got any high recognition when it came out and it certainly wasn't considered one of his best. Anyone else have any albums that they consider hidden gems? Albums that weren't critically acclaimed or sold millions but, are enjoyable pieces of work to listen to.
Black Sabbath....Technical Ecstacy
The Clash......Sandinista
Georgia Sattelites....In The Land Of Salvation And Sin
that's what I got so far.

Speaking of Jimi, the ...oh crap...can't think of the name now. One of his last albums that he produced himself - it had Angel (my absolute favorite) and Belly Button Window?
All of Jeff Buckleys' stuff - not really noted by many until after he passed. :(
All of Grateful Dead. Yes, yes there were thousands of people who followed them around the country - but I still do this day feel that they did not get the recognition they deserved.
Depeche Mode/Songs of Faith and Devotion

That's The Cry of Love. I definitely agree with you. That's probably my favorite Hendrix album.
Whenever there used to be threads on songs Chris should cover, Angel from that album was always the first one I would think of.

Last summer, when I went to the beach - that's the 1 thing I wanted to do that I didn't get to. I wanted to watch the sun come up on the beach while listening to first Castles Made of Sand and then Angel. But...the sun doesn't rise and fall over the east coast's ocean view. Any my best friend was being such a crabby patty. So if I ever go to the Carribean...I'll try again! :)

Pinback - Blue Screen Life
The Wrens - The Meadowlands
The Bogmen - Life Begins at 40 Million
Grant Lee Buffalo - Mighty Joe Moon, Fuzzy
