>I am reading Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamont. It is pretty cool lots about faith, living life on lifes terms. I am going to read A Year by the Sea next....then hopefully My Friend Leonard-by James Frey. I can't believe he is getting all the flack for a Million Little Pieces. I have this thing about reading all the books by one author and then getting bored because they have no books out....hopefully I am breaking that pattern.

Anyone read Memoirs of a Geisha?

lake - oddly enough traveling mercies was recommended to me a long time ago by another forum member. I have read one of Anne LaMott's books, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I don't think it was that one. My lazy ass doesn't want to get up and check the title, but Chrys will know which one it was, lol.

A Year by the Sea - who is the author? I'm thinking I have that book, but haven't read it yet.....

I read Memoirs of a Geisha years ago and would like to see the movie.

leo you probably read bird by bird, her book on writing, that's just my guess, she has a bunch of books. i read recently her plan b, which has lots of thoughts on faith. some of it sounded preachy to me, but some of it was awesome.

and yes you do have a year by the sea, i gave it to you for xmas one year, lol.

Yep, it was Bird by Bird. I knew you'd know, and you're not gonna like this - for some reason I thought it was my mom who gave me A Year by the Sea. I'm glad I have you to keep track for me!!
