Subject: Morello and Del La rocha to share a stage.

For weeks now both Tom Morello and Zack Del La Rocha have been protesting, talking and supporting the Los Angeles eviction of the South Central Farm to make room for a Wal-Mart in the community.

What is the Farm?
Since 1992, the 14 acres of property located at 41st and Alameda Streets in Los Angeles have been used as a community garden or farm. The land has been divided into 360 plots and is believed to be one of the largest urban gardens in the country.

This organic farm reaches out to, and is run by it�s community, It is a sterling model for what can be accomplished in poor neighborhoods across out country. I personally am doing anything I can to keep it around.

The Farm was to be evicted this week, but the mayor of LA put a temporary stop to it. In the mean time people are still fighting.

There is going to be a concert (which was postponed for better planning) featuring some notable LA bands and both Zack and Tom will be performing as well. NO not together. I don't even know if the two have spoken.

I wonder if Morello and Del La Rocha are gonna kiss and make up over this. Also wonder if Cornell will feel cheated on at all? j/k.... it would be cool if those two guys spoke though.

i really hope that this concert and the ongoing protests will continue to make an impact. it's just one farm, but it seems like it has done so much for the community, which wal mart will never do.

we need something good, with the sort of windfall of bad political news lately. we need reason to hope, and people need this farm...

Yeah, it's good that they are teaming up and atleast if they can't be in a band together, that they can be friends in supporting a cause they both care about. I also heard that Zack did something for The Farm about 2 months ago, with his new band.

I hope Chris gets jealous and spiteful and the next thing we hear he's sharing the stage with Kim again. J/K lol

As far as I know the two of them will not be on stage at the same time.

And yeah, Zack did the one back in November where members of Ozomatli were. It was kinda like a big jam thing like the Axis show was not really his band. Ozomatli is still together.

Oh Tom is hosting Rock 'n' Roll BINGO in Hollywood on the 23rd for the Farm also. I know the girl who runs that.

You know what I can't understand, why can't they just reasign different land to Wal-Mart. I know life is not that easy, when $$$ and politics fuck it up. dammit

And with Walmart's new business model in the works, I don't see the benefit of putting one in a poor community. How many poor people do you know who can afford plasma screen TV's?

I just read about Wal-MArt's new strategy, and this just doesn't make sense. I hope they can stp Wal_mart from fucking up another town.

There has been no kissing at all.But the boys are sharing hugs, and word is they just might be inclined to do more than appear at the same even.

Tom might be steeping out on Chris yet.

The Mars Volta are also playing the show, and they are working on having anyone from System, but no luck as of yet. The show will actually take place there at the farm in South Central. Wonder if that will keep some people away?
