The Soulsavers - "It's Not How Far You Fall, It's The Way That You Land". New album. Soulsavers (Rich Machin, Ian Glover) return with a new album. This time round they have joined up with Mark Lanegan who provides vocals on 9 of the albums 11 tracks. The album also has cameo appearances by Will Oldham, Jimi Goodwin & PW Long. It's an eclectic recording, a unique mix of hip-hop, rock, country, soul & gospel. The album was recorded throughout 2005 between the bands home base in the North of England, and Los Angeles. The record is in its final stages, with a final mix due to take place over the next few weeks and a summer release.

I am not sure if he wrote any of the songs, but he sure gets around!

Could be really interesting. Checked out that one track on their myspace page, and I think his voice would compliment their sound really nicely.

The Isobel Campbell duet album officially comes out next week. I'm stoked to hear it.

'Mark Lanegan sits in a threadbare armchair, backstage at the Birmingham Academy, where his Mark Lanegan Band are headlining tonight, cradling an iPod, scrolling through the menus to tell us what he's been listening to as of late: ...... PW Long, whose 'Remembered' album Lanegan says helped save his life this year.'

So Isobel Campbell's playing a bar in Toronto on Saturday night, if I can find a friend to go with me I'll go.

i am really liking the song posted on the soulsavers myspace. once again, I have no doubt I will love it even more with Mark's vocals on top.

oh and buying cd's is so overrated ;)

That's a good interview. I actually just got a whole bunch of cds and among them is the new Queens of the Stone Age cd and I can't wait to listen to it. I think they should force him to sing more on their records.

Anyways, the other cds I got are:

Jeff Buckley-Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk
Led Zeppelin-II & III
Eric Clapton-The Cream of Clapton

Yeah, I'm actually pumped about all of my goodies. On Monday I'm going to go to the library again and get some more, too.

Truth: You can never have too much music.

I always go to the library for cd's (but I've had everything I like) and videos. Aren't libraries closed on Mondays? I thought that was everywhere.
