Twan, Lastnight I was watching a Bio on Radiohead and they said the band that influenced them the most were The Smiths (prog punk). Thom Yorke also said that he hates bands like Coldplay and Travis being compared to Radiohead and he is not flattered at all that they are ripping them off. I thought that was funny, anyway no mentiion of U2.

I don't get how Coldplay could be ripping off Radiohead. Thom Yorke must be getting insecure in his old age.

And yes, Coldplay are one of the best bands around.
Nice vibe in their music.

You know, when X&Y came out I didn't really get into it as much as I got into Parachuts and A Rush of Blood to the Head. I mean, those two cds are some of my favorites of all time. However, the other day I started listening to X&Y again and I really, really dug it. I guess I wasn't ready for it at that point.

As for the comparison with Radiohead, I'm not sure if you guys have heard the B-side called, Bigger Stronger. It totally has a Radiohead vibe. It's a pretty cool tune.
