First I'd build my housing compound (complete with indoor pool and paved 1-2 mile track outside) and not tell ANYONE. Then I'd have a giant party and give everyone a gift (like I'd buy my Dad a new truck and I'd buy a duplex for my best friend to live in rent free and get her a car, pay off the parents mortgage, pay of brother's loan, etc.). Then I'd set up some sort of charity to help children whose parents suck (if they have parents). I'd work on that part time and get my degree part time (just to get it). And I'd travel. Alot. :)

I would buy the house of my dreams somewhere. It would probably be something big and old with alot of architectural detail.
I would pay off my parents mortgages and give them some money. I would buy some gifts for family and friends.
I would give some money to the United Way (Rose Of Sharon) Organization that helps teenage mothers, The Daily Food Bank would get a large sum and I would give them more each month from the interest I would make and Unicef and Sharelife.
I would keep my mini-van, but buy a vintage Mustang convertable or a Caddilac or both.
I would also travel alot!

1) Quit my job. Like yesterday.
2) Buy lots of land. Thousands of acres. Let it return to forest & repopulate it with native species.
3) Build a cabin in the middle of said land.
4) Spend my days pursuing my interests, with no one to answer to but me (and my wife - but I like it when she tells me what to do. In bed.)

Because it's fun to dream, I have a big secret plan.
Not really a secret to those who don't live near me and know me. But after tossing a hefty amount into my needy business venture. I'd invest some. And yes there would be lots to just play with. So my plan would be not to tell anyone we won it ... not a single soul. Then throw the mother of all parties some place so everyone could enjoy my winnings with me for at least that one night.

You would do more with the money than smoke it. I think you can go to some exotic places in the world to get high. Amsterdam ofcourse (unless the laws have changed). How about Turkey, I think they're smoking hash in Afghanastan again.

I think I'd be smoking opium if I had 10 mil. Turkey might be the place to get it, but with 10 mil I don't think I'd have trouble finding lots of "friends" that would supply me in my own little drugged out corner of the universe.
