Just suffered a speedometer failure on the Blue Ridge Parkway in the rain (a coincidence?). So cruise control and radio AVC do not function. I attached a power drill to the cable end and got no movement in the speedometer, so my assumption is a cable failure/fracture. Anyone with experience replacing the cable? Specifically, how do you get to the back of the speedometer itself? Can you get to it thru the headlight surround? It's an 01 with 14,000 mi. Is there a failure in something other than the cable more likely? This southern boy would apreciate any help from "yall" on the left coast. Thanks
