A liitle thing I like to do is at night before i "pass out" is to wear two pairs of sox. The firts layer are the "clean" or at least dry sox. The second are the pair I wore during the day. The idea being that as one sleeps, two pairs of wool sox adds to better insulation hence more warmth and comfort to the wearer. That much is obvious, but as the evening progresses, supposed body warmth/ heat will dry out the dirty/ wet outter pair so that in the morning both pair should be to reasonabley dry.
I remember reading this somewhere years ago and have done it since. I'm a creature of habit and I suppose I have been happy with the results as I still do this, but what ever. Your feet, your sox. The important thing is that YOU and your dogs are happy.
