For the life of me, I cannot now remember if I brough along a greatcoat to BGR or not. Some of my west coast comrades say we had them, others say not.

There is no way to absolutely forecast the temperatures we'll encounter at IPW, but, sort of like Silas, I don't remember the nights at BGR being all that cold. My feet and toes really "feel" chilly nights, and my general recollection of BGR is that it included some of the best sleeping I've done in the field (well, as much as a 1st Serg't is allowed to sleep, anyway).

As for me and my greatcoat, I'm still wrestling with the question of toting it. Probably will not.
