I can guarantee that they care. Judging from IP addresses fluttering about my website this morning, someone is concerned. Since Rush's decision, IP addresses from companies who do contract work for Homeland Security have been flocking to my website. Do these people think I'm dangerous? No. They want to be victims; they try their best to portray themselves as victims. I'd be willing to say there is little more precious to James Humphrey than his reputation. Has his reputation taken a hit? Yes. I'm not going to stand here and begin to speculate how much so, but you can definitely tell there are people in Dearborn County and the State who have lost respect for Humphrey. I saw Humphrey testify against me during my trial. He was so angry steam was coming from his ears. Anger and fear are two different animals. Do you think sending me to prison satisfied Humphrey's anger toward me? No way. He took away my kids and that wasn't enough to satisfy his hatred for me. What this evaluation proves is there was nothing warranting the suspension/termination of all my parenting time. The State of Indiana has probably spent a million dollars in dealing with Dan Brewington. Believe me, they care. The Indiana Law Blog posted part of my blog re: my recent petitions filed with the Indiana Supreme Court. How often does a respected law blog, run by legal professionals, give a convicted felon a sounding board to harshly criticize Justice Loretta Rush and the High Court of Indiana? Never. This is what drives them nuts. During the early stages they passed it off as me being able to manipulate people. Anyone who supported me was clearly being manipulated by me. Let them try to use that argument now. Look at the prevailing tone of the entire legal proceedings. "He just won't stop." "He just keeps writing." 2.5 years in prison is nothing compared to losing your kids. You think they are satisfied because they sent me to prison? No chance. That's why Humphrey and his wife showed up at the oral arguments before the Indiana Court of Appeals. That's why Negangard sat with the AG during oral arguments before both the Appellate Court and the Supreme Court. I don't hate. They do. Hate makes people unstable and potentially dangerous. Justice Rush thought she could close the lid on the deal by carefully crafting a decision that she felt would discourage anyone from supporting me. The problem with her strategy you can't polish a t#$d. As hard as she tried to build a case against me, she left gaps in her decision that I was able to pick apart with simple logic and common sense. Will I succeed in my efforts to have my conviction overturned? I don't know. I'll go as far to say the odds are stacked against me. I do know that a couple days after I filed my petitions and got some run from the Indiana Law Blog, Chief Justice Dickson announced he was stepping down from his role as the head of the Court, leaving Rush as a potential candidate for the position. Any committee looking to her as a replacement can see on the Indiana Law Blog that she did not understand my perjury conviction or she altered it to convict me.
I'm not going to sit here and speculate how much these people care about my writings. I do not write for them. These are public issues of the utmost public concern. If Humphrey was sitting around the dinner table with his family last night laughing about him being with his children while knowing I haven't seen my daughters for 5 years, so be it. The main purpose of my writings is never based on annoying an individual because that's an unhealthy obsession. The main purpose is to educate people about my situation and to help spread the word. If pissing off a judge or two just happens to be an offshoot of my efforts, I'm not losing sleep over it. The only way people like Negangard, Humphrey, Connor, and Rush can beat me is if I become the person they want me to be. If they really fear me, it's because they feel they've backed me into a corner and pushed me too far. I'm not wired like that. I would never give them the satisfaction nor do anything that would let my daughters down. You may be right. They may just laugh this off but I doubt it. You don't put that much effort into squashing the little guy unless he isn't so little after all.
