JOHNSON COUNTY: October 15, 2013 Johnson County Commissioners Regular meeting - "Sheriff Doug Cox stated Advanced Correctional would be able to begin their agreement with the jail as early as Dec. 1....Tom Kite made a motion to approve as presented. Ron West seconded the motion and the motion passed unanimously.... ."

September 1, 2014 (www.indystar.com- Diana Penner) "3rd Inmate Death of 2014 Jolts Johnson County." - "....Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox said he asked for the state police examination after one inmate hanged himself Aug.1 and the first inmate killed himself by swallowing toilet paper in May.However, the preliminary information on the (3rd) death ....includes nothing suspicious....It came as a blow, Cox said." "Three in one year is absolutely unacceptable.""
