My daughter is 3 years old and we have been doing pageants since she was 1. We both get burned out from time to time and just take small breaks and it helps. She starts asking to do them again when she misses her buddies and that is when we go do one. Don't let people pressure you or her to do them.Do them when the two of you want to do them that way the two of you are happy and have fun with it.

  • One a month is fine.As long as you keep practicing.More than one a month you turn into a crown hog and you'll burn dd out. -- No name, 11:02:36 09/15/06 Fri
  • My daughter is 14 and she has been doing them for almost 3 years. Sadly to say she told me the other day she doesn't want to do them any more. I always told her it was her choice to quit and now that she has I feel heart broken. I don't try to live through my child by no means but this was something I LOVED doing with her. The beauty and other events just to watch her on stage was great. It was also a way of US spending time toghter. I guess she is burned out on them and sad to see them go but HER choice. She was to be in one today but the fun is over. When she wants to go back she will. Until then will miss the friends we have made and all the cheering for all the girls and boys.
