Subject: The Exploits of Capt. Torch, Lady Sonya and Lt. Thong

Perhaps Torch Sr. would like to give us some insights in their exploits in the different environs on Mongo and in space.

These minions of Ming seemed especially busy in Chap 9,10,11 of FGCTU. When FG saved the Rock king's son and returned him, the king granted FG and friends freedom. At about same time, Torch, Sonya, and Thong escaped, but later found by FGs crew, and taken prisoner aboard Barin's ship.

The 3 are taken to Arboria and jailed. Somehow, Thong escapes, Sonja fakes a hanging and kills an Arborian guard who enters her cell. She then frees Capt.Torch. They go for Barin's radio room creating havoc, then grab Dale at gunpoint. All go to Tower roof as Ming ships arrive with gas bombs. The women pass out, and FG finds his way to fight with Torch...both fall into a moat below.

FG saves unconscious Torch, holds him prisoner, as area is cleared of the gas. A Ming bomber led by Thong lands, kidnaps Dale, Sonja, and Ronal...they are revived. Later, Ming is angry at Sonja and Thong for the loss of ships and failure to see Torch returned. But Sonja, in her keen way points out an exchange can take place..trading Dale for Torch. Ming agrees. The trade is made, rather quickly it seems, but Dale was drugged and Zarkov is made aware she must be returned back to Ming for an antidote to survive. Well, we can on and on, but she survives, and I must admit, this is one section of FGCTU where you must pay attention, or with dvds nowadays, make a few passes. Some very busy sections here, twists...moreso mystery "stuff" along with the shoot-em-ups. Nicely written actually.
