FGCTU, cliffhanger Chap 9-10
Flash Gordon, Zarkov, Barin, Roka are waiting at cavern door (below palace) for Capt. Sudan (loyal to Prince Barin) to open the door. He does...they enter. An alarm is triggered. Ming is near Sudan's area and questions him. Ming sees his foes are in the tunnel and orders Sudan to open the flood control valve. Water rushes in. Prince Barin tells Flash, Zarkov, Roka they'll be swept into the bottomless pit by the flood, and they try to escape, but things seem hopeless. (Meanwhile, Ming leaves gloating...and actually prematurely.)Sudan then opens a side tunnel escape route for his friends. They are saved.
