There are rumors and legends about Vultan's hawk people unbeknownst to many. I heard this one from someone who knows a guy named Beldar Conehead from the planet Remulak. This was mentioned when both were consuming vast quantities of Ye 'Ole Mingo City Brew, during the first week of the now defunct Bada Ming Lounge on planet Mongo. (Seems Ming gave orders to Aura and the crafty high priest to listen in, but the crowd saw telephone wires/receivers piercing the walls...so, patronage suffered, and the place closed down.)

All kinds of small talk and "stuff" was brought up early on, though I don't recall 100%. Perhaps others who were in earshot of the conversation might recall some additional points. One was the age old question of how they sleep with those large, rigid looking wings. Some nearby patrons who overheard chimed in saying...well, they sleep like birds, on a perch, standing up. Another said they never sleep. One said they each have quarters with suspension wires from above, another said they use some kind of bubble wrap like material.

But Beldar got some info from a hawkman who imbibed a bit much. "Cocoons" he said, "large cocoons"...and they apparently save/modify the shell, and kind of re-use them for hibernation and refuge if the weather turns nasty. So, after all these years, we may at least have some idea on this matter. If you've heard otherwise, kindly inform with an appropriate response.
