Well, there are many favorite moments throughout the FG trilogy. Some generic type words, phrases would more or less include: "...I've discovered a ray that...." or "the antidote is..." words like peril, lab, doomed, radio, etc...list goes on and on. Some specific favorites (from memory...uh, oh) are as follows in no particular order:

-Rock Talk...in FGCTU, we find Zarkov proficient in communicating with Rock People...seems he can understand and speak what he says is a language like that of the lost tribes of the Gobi desert on earth!?

-Speech...in Mars Chap 1, our friends apparently land in a melon patch on earth... a few scenes later, Zarkov, dressed to the nines, addresses an audience...we hear perhaps a couple minutes of his speech about Mongo. Quite good for one in a serial. (Want to hear one I consider brilliant? Easily more than 5 minutes and great? It's in 1936s classic "Things to Come" with Raymond Massey as John Cabal giving the reconstruction speech after the decades long war.)

-AntiFreeze...amazing that little spritz Zarkov sprays onto faces of members before leaving rocket go into the Frigian cold to keep 'em from freezing up in FGCTU.

-Murphy's Law...geez, all over the trilogy, even from Serial 1, Chap 1. In '36, Flash and Dale just happen to land on Zarkov's property a stone's throw away from his rocketship. One of many of similar nature in the trilogy.

-Travel Woes...apparently, Zarkov's rocketship not roomy for passengers...when he announces to hold on, they're taking off ('36 Chap 1), Flash and Dale have to hold onto some thingamagigs....tough for straphangers, and worse, faint prone Dale gets dizzy since Zarkov forgets to turn on the oxygen in all the excitement. Hmmm.

-Peers...In FGCTU, Zarkov, winds up getting most valuable info from Ming's scientists in the lab. (Hmm...never enough supervision in these labs it seems.)

-Radio...no sweat, Zarkov can easily change/modify a radio, fine tune it, etc for communicating eg, in FGCTU, in Ming's lab!

-Rube Goldberg....Zarkov invents on a dime and easily does patch jobs as needed without delay...no problem throughout trilogy...he demonstrates his brainpower, seems serious and deeply in thought most of the time, AND caring of his friends.

-He did mess up once (perhaps more but this was a biggie in Mars) and he admitted with much concern, that he miscalculated death ray causing destruction on earth was coming from Mars, not Mongo.

-Many more...you guys can name some, or comment on these. Frank Shannon did a great job playing Dr. Zarkov.
