Subject:
Officer Torch may be guilty of dereliction of duty...
Rumors are coming from inside the palace and catacombs that Emperor Ming is not very happy with the long and unexplained absence of his loyal Officer Torch. The possibility exists that Prince Barin has ambushed Officer Torch for the sudden theft of his rocketship before departing to the Lake of Rocks and the Turret House to meet Flash and party. By the way, I will be in touch with Barin regarding the new book that was delivered by the Death Squadron pilot yesterday.

Hmm..no thanks to earthman Rick for bringing up my absence. Should Ming locate me, my life may be forfeit. Frankly, I've been maintaining a low profile by hiding in a serial-time-movie crossover vortex. Why, I even recently posted on the monster section here recently! Turns out, this year's intense rainy season on Mongo created a serious rust problem with my armor, and rather than facing the emperor as such, I utilized halograms and my cousin Captain Torch (from FGCTU)to sub for me. He's not always the brightest bulb though, and the Emperor is no dummy. I am trying the latest techniques to inhibit rust, and am working on some way to appear as a digital figure (instead of analog)in the next serial dvd printing. We'll see.
Meanwhile, yes, we can compare notes re a new FG book, and in catching up, seems SciFi's FG is cancelled, and I caught mention of a possible FG movie in the future by Paramount??? Perhaps I heard wrong. Am also wondering if Universal indeed has back up films/videos to replace those tragically lost in recent fire.
Music...always FG music haunts us. I have a question, and often get a "snow job"...any responses to this: We know that eg FG serial, movie elements are combined, and that we see and hear the combo...voices, sounds, music. Great example...in 1976, an outfit called Pelican Records released what they called the soundtrack on FGs Trip to Mars. (This was comparable to kind of taping audio only from a TV broadcasting the serial decades ago, eg, PBS, AMC etc.) Obviously, combining (or joining) is easy. Now, is it possible..or just prohibitively expensive, or in violation of licensing, whatever to take eg a serial and separate the elements...i.e., remove the voice, sounds, to allow the music only to remain? Any new thoughts on this? Or, maybe just overly complicated and/or too many issues involved, not just technical.

Officer Torch: You should be aware that you were seen with your gang of Lefty,Vinny and Tony hanging around outside the gin mill by the Brooklyn waterfront where Ming recruited you. No amount of storytelling will convince either Rick, Commander of the Nitron Squadron, or me of anything else.
Regarding the sacred FG music: I long ago convinced my Princess Aura to become accustomed to hearing FG fight music in our red Ford stratosled whenever we are on patrol over the Clay Kingdom. Pictures of our stratosled were sent to both you and Commander Rick a week or so ago. Be advised that there is to be a special concert of FG music on July 4th in honor of our Declaration of Domination under Emperor Ming.
There are many worthwhile additions to our knowledge of the revered FG serials in the new book and you would be well advised to study it thoroughly.

"Storytelling" eh Barin? Would you believe I have a twin brother who volunteered to dwell on earth as a spy for His Majesty Ming? No? Hmm...give me some time.. I'll get back to you.
Re the disco, no..I meant FG music, I enjoy playing it loud near Sheepshead Bay down the Belt Parkway in the red Corvette..uh..see Barin, I'm just playin' mind games with you...I meant near the Tunnel of Terror with the Z-0 ship. #*)@&!~*.
I am in the process of studying the recently discovered Sacred writings in the new FG book...it has a most impressive Appendix section, and I will look forward to the pictures you speak of.
This new material may just give me that jump start I could use these days to rejuvinate FG, BR and such from our beloved serials.

Ah, who could forget those days cruising in the stratosled on Cross Bay Boulevard stopping for a snack at the Landing Tower at Nathan's? The Asteroid Belt Parkway was a direct route to the Parachute Jump/Bat Wing Jump at Coney Island.
I am experiencing some difficulty copying those pictures but an ally of mine, Thong, who also works in the laboratory will be coming over next week to straighten out this vile computer. He is usually minimally attired.
