Subject: New Flash Gordon Movie?!?

Citizens of Mongo...word in the palace corridors, and some places on the web (eg, IMDb) suggest that an FG movie may be available for our viewing pleasure (or displeasure, or maybe not at all) in 2010. Not much info so far, but a remake of When Worlds Collide is also being mentioned. This would be a natural since much of FG follows the lines of that movie. In any case, this could all be cancelled I understand, but it's nice to look forward to an FG remake.

Believe Mr. Sommers is involved, but I understand they want to do it up nicely. Well, if you find any info, or interesting links, post 'em. Emperor Ming is, among other things, a history buff of sorts re Mongo, Mars, Earth...and likes to keep informed of such productions, especially those pertaining to him, his minions, and enemies.

Word has it that the recent upsurge in comic super hero types, and the less than successful SciFi Channel offering may have contributed to taking an FG movie off of the back burner, again. We'll see. Any feedback, let's hear from you.
