In my opinion, from a music standpoint, I'll go with CTU as the best, relatively speaking, followed by Mongo, then Mars. To me, CTU has the most aerial action, combat, robotics and its music strikes me as being the most exciting, and melodic in certain ways. Very moving. Tough for me to select particular favorite moments though...there are so many.

In any case, this FG material is 3/4 of a century old, and we are still mezmorized by the video AND THE MUSIC! Think about it... do you think you'd enjoy these without any music, or vastly different score material? Dunno, maybe, but guess I'm just hooked the way it is.

It seems just about everything came together with the music in FG, and we're talking about 15 hours worth of generally nicely put together segments from various sources. I guess we could add '39 BR also. The music is just magical in these. Sadly, they were never made into a CD set. Seems you have to purchase several items to make up just a fraction of the FG/BR music we enjoy so much.

I began thinking about Officer Torch's comment that FG wouldn't be the same without that music. Without the music it would not be the same, for in fact I have a version of Mars from around 1990 where they overlaid a new musical soundtrack on top of the original. It is awful!! You have these two musical themes concurrently playing plus the dialog so that the audio is now muffled and completely unintelligible.

Whoever came up with this idea should be sent to the Disintegration Room with the reserve generators running at maximum output.
