Subject: Flash Gordon vs.?

So what other Comic book character(villian or good guy) would make a great animated fight sequence with Flash Gordon for a great home to direct video release that hasn't been done yet?

I know that he can't probably couldn't fight certain characters because of copyright laws,but if the sky were the limit,who would the opponents be?

last nite i saw Capt.Marvel and Superman get it on in an animated 2004 cartoon series and did they get it on Big Time!!! Great stereo/surround sound effects. One of the Best animated fight sequences i've ever seen on dvd

Prince Barin vs. Ming the Merciless!
Each was defeated in saber fencing by Flash Gordon (Barin in the Tournament of Death in the first FG serial, Ming in the Alex Raymond canon) but it took Flash a while and effort --so Barin and Ming are approximately equal in fencing skill.

Besides, they could settle the dispute for the succession to the Throne of All Mongo --Prince vs. Emperor!

Flash has no super powers, so going up against Superman or any X-Men would not be fair. He is athletic and has defeated everyone who has taken him on. I suppose a Klingon or a Volcan would give him a worthy fight. They are strong and both cultures seem to practice physical combat. So I would go with someone from one of those two races from Star Trek. Spock would give him a hard time.

Good point about the super-power thing as I only used Superman's brawl with Capt.Marvel as an example as there are plenty of Superheroes and especially villians in the comic book universe that don't have super-powers and are more athletic than super-powered,therefore, would make for great opponents like the Spider-man villian KingPin or even someone like the Batman or even DareDevil or Spider-Man himself!

I suppose matching FG with someone from a similar universe such as Star Wars or Star Trek would be much more interesting for a FG fan to see on the Big Screen!
