Buster was always attentive to his fans even long after the peak of his screen popularity. He attended many fan forums, answered requests for information, etc. and accepted his alter ego, Flash Gordon, with pride. Over the years I would occasionally read something about him and even to the last he was planning an appearance on a charity telethon.
