I was merely saying that you were letting your imagination run away with you. You see, there was the tiny issue of your being in the hospital following a certain mission.. (He said with a brow cocked in a thoughtful manner. She had a way of twisting his words and making him look guilty when he wasn't and he had caught onto her a few months earlier and was now twisting them right back. Se might have him around her little finger, but when it came to verbal sparring he wasn't the kind to back down.) We will date, Haylie. I can't very well take you out tonight when we are babysitting. Chase is smart, but I dont see him being able to get his own bottle from the fridge. (His eyes danced with amusement and affection as he watched her.) What.. is my room not cool enough for you? We could go out on the balcony if you'd like.. or the shower.. or wherever. (He winked, still smirking in his childish manner. He was feeling just as quirky as she was, though he was more laidback about it. The truth was that he hadn't quite gotten over almost losing her and he was nervous about leaving the apartment, letting her out of his sight and especially about letting her resume working again. He was beginning to want a small house with a picket fence and a couple dogs loose in the back while they sat on the shaded porch and she nursed their own son. He needed the reassurance that he wasnt going to lose her ever again.. he wasn't strong enough for that anymore.) Come on, get over here. (And he really needed to work on getting himself laid.. it had been way too long.)
