(He smiled, pressing another kiss to her lips as his hand drifted low to run over the swell of her stomach, his attention taken by the fact that he was wondering about the baby now.) We need to get you in to the doctors.. God, I should have taken you in before now.. (He had brought her home a mere couple of hours before.. but it seemed like altogether too long when she was so thin and the baby was so still.)
