The tree lighting ceremony at the Walker Valley Fire House Sunday evening was well attended. Pastor Robb Hewitt officiated the invocation, prayer and the benediction. Chief Jim Greer dedicated the tree to the community and hoped all would enjoy its beauty throughout the holiday season. The Walker Valley Marching Band & friends provided the music backdrop as everyone was invited to sing along with them to such holiday favorites as the Little Drummer Boy, Jingle Bells, Rudolph and finally Silent Night.

The ladies auxiliary then invited everyone inside for refreshments and a little socializing with family, friends and neighbors.

The firemen and ladies auxiliary invite everyone in the community to bring an ornament and place it on the community tree, because without you there would be no us. Just stop by anytime, place your ornament and thank you for your continued support.

Have a wonderful, safe, happy & healthy holiday season everyone!
