SUBJECT: The hamlet of Cragsmoor invites you to Make a Day of It!

Cragsmoor, the historic artists' community on the top of the Shawangunk Ridge above Ellenville, invites you to Cragsmoor Day on June 30. Residents annually host an event that features House Tours, High Tea Lunch, Book Sales, Art Exhibitions, Bake Sale, Pottery and Jewelry by local artists. Tasty food will be available at the Post Office Square from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.

Visitors will be able to take guided bus tours of three historic houses, followed by a high tea lunch. Tours are scheduled at 10:00 am, 11:30, 1:00 pm & 2:30, with a charge of $25 per person.

The Cragsmoor Free Library will host actor/writer Malachy McCourt, discussing and signing a selection of his books at 2:00 pm. PowerPoint presentations of "Cragsmoor and Its Art Colony" will be shown at 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Tickets for the 2007 "Rake It In Raffle" ($10,000 Grand Prize) will be on sale at the Library and Post Office.

The Cragsmoor Historical Society will host a "nearest to the pin" golf game on the Old Inn Property from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. At 3:00 pm the book Yama Farms – A Most Unusual Catskills Resort will be exhibited and discussed. The Society also features a gift shop and exhibition of works by local Cragsmoor artists.
The young at heart can enjoy hayrides, exploration of Cragsmoor fire trucks, fingerprinting by the Sheriff's department and a glass of lemonade at our kid size stand.

The Stone Church will offer historical talks at 11:30 am and 1:00 pm.
Top off the day with a 6:00 pm chicken and corn-on-the-cob BBQ dinner (including homemade desserts) at the Cragsmoor Firehouse, followed by a professionally called square dance, all at a cost of $25 per person.
Free parking will be available all day.
