Hello Sharon,

A bidet is not only used by women for washing up after your period or sex.

I find a bidet is very nice for washing up my anal area after a poo. The warm water spray hits just the right spot and encourages the relaxation of my anus so the water can rinse me both inside and out. This is especially nice if what came out previously is a bit sticky.

In fact, I now rarely use toilet paper at all, but wash myself with a 'feminine wash', rinse with water and pa dry.

Also, it's not commonly discussed, but if you are having trouble getting going when trying to poo, it much better to sit on the bidet and let the water flow relax you than to grunt and strain on the toilet. When you feel things start to move, get onto the toilet.

My comments above are mostly about the plumbed-in bidet fixtures. Thye bidet toilet seats have inadequate water flow in my opinion.
