Yes you have to use photo editing software to resize them smaller for generally what you want on a webpage. Windows xp comes with one but IDK how to access it or use it. I have paint shop pro and arc soft photo impression. Usually when I open a pic in one of those, I reduce it to 33% then save it with a new name so your original stays the same. Then upload your resized picture. I know there are some free ones on the web but I dont have the names handy.
