Subject: I would take the work from home job hands down
In reply to: Kathy 's message, "Interesting job dilemma" on 05:57:47 10/09/10 Sat

There are two ways to look at it - if you are working from home - it sometimes seems like your work is always there - all around you - HOWEVER

I work from home & when everyone else is geing ready to go to work - I have already started. I finish early in the afternoon so I have the rest of the day free. No commuting home - and I swear there are days when it doesn't even feel like I've worked at all, but I have.

It seems like you will know really soon about the editing job - can you wait to tell your friend? I personally could not handle working on child abuse cases - I wouldn't have the stomach for it.

[> Well, I was texting my friend and she said she wanted to talk to me about the job -- Kathy, 17:08:58 10/11/10 Mon [1] (pool-70-105-76-29.chi.dsl-w.verizon.net/70.105.76.29)

She said that it was definitely working with child investigative services and not adults. She also said that it is primarily second shift work. (This was not mentioned at all at the interview.) I told her that due to my many evening activities, second shift wouldn't work for me. She said she understood and would let the supervisor know.

I told her about the other job opportunity. She wished me luck and told me that I would be very good at that kind of a job.

So...now I wait and see regarding the other job.
