Whats the biggest Pike or biggest haul of Pike that anyones taken from Edgelaw in a session? I know that the p/b for the water is around 25lb+ but I think it would be interesting to find out what sort of success other anglers are having from month to month.
My largest Edgelaw Pike was 12 3/4 lb taken on a lamprey head section fished under a sliding float, but the best session i've had on the water was a Summer one. I love Summer at Edgelaw, the place comes alive after the slow hard fishing through the winter months and its worth waiting for!! I took 14 Pike in 7 hours......the biggest only 9lb's and the smallest about 3 but it was great sport!!
They were taking deads as soon as they hit the water so I decided to bring out the Plugger rod and the Pike were hot for it.....almost snapping the lures off of 40lb Wychwood plugger braid!!
In fact its coming to that time of year again, it'll be a while though 'cause everythings so slow this year.....they hav'nt even spawned yet its been so cold and unsettled. The time 'will' come though......i love Summer Piking!
