the pronoun "they" that you encounter in the text:

Para que haja uma maior integra��o social e econ�mica
entre os cidad�os europeus, se torna necess�rio que os
mesmos aprendam a falar ao menos dois idiomas dos pa�ses
que integram a Uni�o Europ�ia.

3) In your opinion, which language(s) should be taught at
school, in the context of the EU? Justify.

Al�m do idioma nativo, deveriam ser ensinadas nas escolas
europ�ias as l�nguas alem�, italiana e francesa, que s�o
os idiomas dos pa�ses mais ricos da Europa, tendo-se em
vista que a maioria dos europeus que moram em outros
pa�ses integrantes da Uni�o Europ�ia, j� falam
fluentemente o ingl�s.
