1- O pronome They � refer�ncia para "os europeus", nas duas primeiras ocorr�ncias, e para "ministros", nas outras duas ocorr�ncias.

2- O texto "Babel 96" aponta a barreira ling��stica existente na uni�o europ�ia e os desencontros quanto ao ensino de l�nguas no bloco.

3- Os europeus poderiam aprender o ingl�s e o espanhol por serem duas l�nguas j� bastante populares e que poderiam faciliar e acelerar essa integra��o ampla, poss�vel gra�as � cria��o do bloco . Essas l�nguas atenderiam ao bloco tanto internamente, na integra��o ling��stica de seus membros, quanto externamente, devido ao grande n�mero de falantes pelo mundo, nas rela��es dos membros com outras comunidades.
