Subject: Restoration Employee Injured

Today's Daily News reported that a 46 year old "employee" working on the Bronx River "Restoration" Project has been awarded a considerable sum for having lost his left eye in a tragic "accident".

Says the report: the gentleman lost his eye due to "negligence" on the part of the Parks Dept. and others when a rope attached to a gathering net snapped.

I wonder how many others were injured during this poorly planned and haphazard demolition attempt.

Even to the "untrained", a simple walk along the banks of The Bronx River will show just how little/poor planning went into this fiasco.

I'm glad the news has begun covering some of the tragedies. Now I wonder... will they cover the rest?
