It was a place where I could sit after work and relax. It was a place where I could get out of the house and sit quietly in the shade and talk with all the people I knew. It was a place where I could bring my food (and take my garbage when I left BTW) and really enjoy my meal. I met a lot of really great people there. I met a Lover of mine there. He's dead now. He's probably better off not seeing what the place looks like. He's gone and the parks department took his memories too. They just came in and ripped the place to hell. Nobody came to ask anybody anything and nobody cared about all of us who used that place. I guess when you talk about elements that would be us. But let's see what the new element brings. We took care of the place the best we could and never got any help from anybody. The river was OK back then. That's all I want to say. The city is a bunch of biggots and liars. Too bad.
