Subject: That is BS! Our dd's best pageant friend competes in her same age group. Do you know that each of them worry about if the other is going to win anything if the other is called up for an award first!!!!!!! That is the way is should be. The two of them usually trade back and forth, placing one behind the other and we are just as happy to see the friend win as we are our dd! Heck, we can even admit when the friend does better/deserves to place higher! Some of you just take this stuff way to seriously! Make it a fun hobby and it is a lot less stressful!
In reply to: 's message, "...not saying we do't LOVE doing pageants-just saying that nerves and raw emotion after the fact can entice the moms to come on here and bash. Pre-internet we would have just called our close friends to vent but now we have anonominity to do so. I truly feel this is a normal reaction just not a positive one!" on 15:48:07 06/25/06 Sun

[> [> [> [> I agree with you and also am happy when a friend wins something, even if it is a higher title of course. But not everyone is like you or me...everyone is different and we all react to things in different ways. Again, I am not saying that jealousy, anger and the various emotions are RIGHT, just that they are not abnormal. -- No name, 17:48:50 06/25/06 Sun [1]

[> [> [> [> [> OP HERE...I TOO, HAVE FRIENDS THAT COMPETE IN MY DD'S GROUP AND WE SUPPORT EACHOTHER FROM CLOTHES TO PICTURE CHOICE AS WELL AS THROUGH THE WINS AND LOSSES. WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS WHY CAN'T THE SUPPORT COME BEFORE AND AFTER PAGEANTS -- FOR THOSE WE KNOW THAT RESPRESENT VA? WHAT VA PAGEANTS, OTHER THAN TM GETS BIG NUMBERS?, 18:26:00 06/25/06 Sun [1]

[> [> [> [> [> [> NONE IF ANY BECAUSE PM'S HAVE MADE DIRECTORS QUIT AND OTHER HAVE CHOSEN TO COMPETE OUTSIDE OF VA TO STAY AWAY FROM THE BICKERING. I LOVE SEEING OUR GIRLS DO WELL. I LOVE SEEING THEM BEING FRIENDS. AT LEAST WE CAN WISH THEM GOOD LUCK AND SAY CONGRATS WHEN IT'S OVER. -- No name, 18:29:47 06/25/06 Sun [1]
