Subject: Colonal Polyp

Hello Doctor!

I m a 23 year old male. I found a polyp in my rectum (15cm away from my anus) 1 year ago. It was removed and the biopsy report showed that it is the type that virtually has no risk of becoming cancer. And it is classified as juvenile polyp.

I m wondering is it common to have this kind of polyp? And how high is the risk of recurring? I m always scared that this thing will come again. Now I eat healthily, a lot of vegetables and fruits.

And I m very concerned that if having the history of possessing this type of polyp will lead to a higher risk of having colon cancer in the future?

Thank you very much for your patience!

Wishes!
Wallace
