Subject: Bob Diamond really got screwed

I don't know if many people are aware of this this but Bob Diamond of the Brooklyn Historic Railway got a royal screwing. After he obtained sanction to build a small trolley line from a Red Hook pier at Conover St to Brooklyn Borough hall and had several trolleys restored and rerady to roll, and also had the necessary wire strung on poles the sanction and the cash grant got pulled leaving
him no option but to shut down. Its really a shame when corperate big wigs can pull all of the strings and put someone out of business. Bob was the guy who discovered the abandoned railroad tunnel under Atlantic Ave sometime around 1980. I myself loved riding the trolleys when I was a little kid. The hum of the electric motor always lilled me to sleep. I would just like to say THANK YOU to Bod for trying !!
