In my opinion, SOF has become far to focused on points. That's it. Points. Most people seem to think the goal is now to beat the crap out of everyone else and rack up as many points as you can. This is not what a game is supposed to be. The game is no longer fun anyone, in my opinion. Therefore, Red Stables, my farm, will be retiring every horse I have, EXCEPT a select few. I own 85 horses (at last count this morning). Of those 85, one is Hall Of Fame, and eight are Grand Champions. If I never win another show, I know my horses have left their mark.

Now you've probably got some questions (or you're really bored), so I'll try to answer them.

Q: What's going to happen to all your horses?
A: Lessons. More training. LIGHT showing. Breeding. Possibly a few may be for sale.

Q: Why this descision all of the sudden?
A: Several things influenced my descision. 1) I feel that shows are no longer judged fairly. 2) I think it's time I focus more on training horses for other people. 3) I also want to help new members get good horses, seems all the best are taken by older members.

Q: What happened to to the legendary reiner Gone 'n Dun It?
A: GD did come out of retirement for a short time. His last show was the Champ Show. This was a show for only champions. Horses with at least 500pts. He is 12 years old and hadn't practiced much before the show. He took an amazing second place. How many horses over ten do you know who can beat young horses like that? And the horse who beat him, Spark Olena's owner even agreed that Sparky just got lucky and that the show may not have been judged fairly since the judge was Sparky breeder and trainer.

Q: Does this mean your stallions will be at stud?
A: Yep. Almost every stallion I have will be standing.

Q: Who are you going to show?
A: Here's the list of my current show string:
IM Cognito
Im No Romeo
Dashing In Dun
Getta Clu Im Dun
Immortal Eagle Commander
GF's Tequila Bartender
Goin' Down
Cliffoney's Fatal Moment (thanks to Bridget for letting me have this wonderful mare)
Marlett's Soxy Man
Touch Of Hollywood
The Virginian (a kick butt western pleasure horse)
Affirmed Romance
A Living Hale
Merlin Pretty Boy (I am showing him for Bridget and am honored to work with him)

If you have a horse you'd like me to train or show, e-mail me at TheOneRealDixie@aol.com

The Red Stables era has not ended, but is merely taking a break and when you least expect it, we'll take the show rings by surprise.

Also, I will still be hosting many shows. I think that's all, thanks for reading.
