You can argue & spin statistics all you want (& need) but the facts remain the facts. And when the facts prove themselves to be correct by evidence, contradicting them only serves to prove that you're an idiot.

But then, let's never mind that point. Let's look at another proven statistic. For most of the past 113 years, the government of Newburgh has been Democrat. Notably, in 1951, the mayor was a Republican. In 1952, Newburgh was awarded "All American City". In 1955, idiots returned to Democrat rule & in the 1960s, the UR wrecking balls swung & the city was left as nothing but an eye-sore mound of rubble, never to be replaced nor rebuilt, even to this very day.

The decline & decay has been the major (if not the only) constant in Newburgh. The only increase of note has been crime, not only in number but in the extent & level of violence.

Meanwhile, "City Council" meetings, attended by the general public, remain nothing other than poorly-presented & mostly un-amusing circuses, the kind of which would be other-wise closed & removed. They serve little-to-no purpose other than to impress upon the citizenry the fact that no matter what the tax-paying residents think, feel, believe, want, wish or desire, the "ruling class" of government officials have & will continue to do as they, themselves, damned-well please & to Hell with the results so long as they benefit in some manner or fashion.

"A predominantly black and Latino city," it takes precious little effort to find that the majority of long-term Black residents trace their lineage back to one particular town: Clinton, North Carolina. They are the descendants of Welfare migrants who clocked to Newburgh in the 1940s when billboards promised that moving to Newburgh would be their greatest benefit because Newburgh was the easiest place in the country in which to receive "Relief". They came by the bus-loads, got their Welfare & passed their legacy on to their generations to follow.

The "Latino" population is descended from the blood-lines of migrant gangs, hordes who came to know that the established "Latino" community consisted primarily of illegal so-called "migrant workers" from the surrounding apple orchards, the owners of which illegally hired them, & in all too many cases provided them with housing & other necessities. The "gente" was illegal, under threat of law, and the prefect prey for the murderous gangs.

And all the while, the delightful Democrat government of Newburgh, fully aware of the plague, turned blind eye & deaf ear, offering as sacrifice to their cohorts, the human lives of the few in the city who provided un-limited tax revenues. Government purses continued to be stuffed & in turn, their loose pocket change went into the blood-stained palms of the gangs who, in great part, brought more revenue into town with their illegal drug-running.

Every election cycle, Newburgh is given the opportunity to change their fate & every cycle, Newburgh skips no beat in doing just that. But those in today's Newburgh, being of obvious mental, moral & ethical sub-standards choose to vote for a change... for the worse. Admittedly, the options are slim. Candidates for political office in Newburgh are either failure remainers, those "with a history" in town, life-long patient/inmates who've never ventured far beyond the city limits, clueless as to the actual workings of the world as a whole or their extended cronies who, for the most part, are the "Newcomers" to town who are, themselves, the failures of the places of their origins.

Now, today, Newburgh holds one grand, tried-and-true, firm, strong & stoic tradition: WHINING! Bemoaning not only the lot Newburghers themselves have dealt themselves but the public reports of their utter & absolute failures. "Whining" isn't just a past-time, it's occupation, hobby, living & life of a Newburgher. And it's the only actual activity a Newburgher will engage in with any interest, other than, of course, scheming ways to snatch loose money and/or maintaining their position of the "WORST" places in the nation and state.
