My my my! Imagine that! Right out of Yoyowassup Country. I believe we know what that is and now we know who the permitted posters are. To think some of them are prominent people (at least they would like to think they are).

Well about our election process I've come to believe the only party that wins around here is the Green party. Cash baby! We can all vote any way we want and I'd like to think the ballots get counted. But I see that more as a bunch of the "Inner Circle" sitting together at a nice table full of good liquor and catered food. They read the ballots, make nice neat little stacks of papers, nibble on the food, have more drinks, get real good laughs at the voters and go home. They all know that friends with deep pockets and shrewd ethics will be filling the positions no matter what. For good press they'll throw in a so called "minority". It looks good in the morning papers. But even then it's somebody with more personal interests than caring about some small town river dump. And I believe this after attending many city council meetings and watching public concern dismissed. In God we trust. But Nell's was as important as the Dutch Reform church as I recall. Maybe Nell's was slightly more important. And the church still ain't what it used to be.

What if they had an election and nobody voted? Would there be any difference? Probably not.

We don't really know new candidates. Trouble is we know the old Newburghers in town too well. What's left? Blind faith?

I like that suggestion on this board about dropping tea bags in front of City Hall though.
