My respects to ya Sue Ellen darlin'. Walkin' round the neighborhood like that. Gutsy gal. An Lofty Ideas givin' reports from the upper 40. Best idea I've heard in a dog's year.

I got to talkin' bout this here board yesterday with some folks. Can't fer the life O'Reiley figger why there ain't a whole lot o' folks jumpin' in. Specially with stories bout their own piece o'town. Don't need t'put personal info. Don't even have t'put a name. No pressure. An' unless yer just an hornery old turd, no blocks or deletes. Somebody said she wonders how the Arabs can change a whole country on a Twitter & Facebook but Newburghers just don't bother bout nuthin. Got this here open board. Ain't somethin' like the other one or the one before that. But fer some danged reason ain't but a few actually makin' their point.

Scared? Intimidated? Bribed? Threatened? Or just too danged lazy? Or don't they know about it? We just can't figger it.

Well anyway, One thing was brought up in the chat: A "10 Year Plan". The routine is to tax the tar out of the locals knowin' they can't pay. So they lose the ranch & they go. Eventually, nobody's left. The place gets bulldozed an' everything gets built new. Property's more expensive, brings in higher rollers. New city. Can't do it with the Old Timers & limited income hangin' back. So the government taxes 'em all out. Cleans 'em out in a way. The more I look at it here, seems there's one o' them Plans in action right here. Hell. Look at the waterfront. Bulldozed. Easy enough to get the rest now considerin' what lives in the city these days. An' if the government puts the screws to the owners of them houses fallin' apart, they'll dump the place, walk away & come time the old place'll rot & fall down. No investment in demolition.

A walkin' tour tells a whole bushel of truths an' it gets ya t'thinkin'.

Sue Ellen Darlin'? The weather'll be gettin' warmer soon. I'll be at the pool. Make mine a double if ya please.

Your always luvin'

G.A.
