This is what makes Newburgh what it is. The committees and commissions are made up of little cliques of certain people who make it their life to keep themselves important. They're the people who have to give themselves importance by giving themselves some kind if title or affiliation with something that at least sounds important. So they rattle other people to create important sounding things like committees and commissions. Remember the threat to take over Newburgh by any means necessary? This is part of that. It didn't go away. It just turned subversive. As long as you're part of the in crowd in the committee you can get away with anything.

But it all goes back to the fault of Newburghians who sit at home and whine about their fate and make excuses for not doing anything to change things. While they whine others take control and things get worse. The whiners don't get involved, won't go to city council meetings, make their own committees and commissions, write letters to the local press, won't get up and make an effort to make change. They're the people who ride the backs of others who are the movers and shakers. But when things move and shake the whiners aren't happy. Or maybe they are because now they can sit at home and whine some more. Meanwhile we get blue vinyl houses, illegals, gangs, destroyed neighborhoods, demolished architecture, disappearing history.

Newburgh is being rewritten into something it never was. Some if the rewrites aren't favorable and the records don't exist because too many demand accountability but do nothing to get it.

If you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem. Very simple.
