I took my family out of Newburgh years ago but I follow the news and these biards to see what changes there. We had a nice house on the west end. It was paid (no mortgage) and I put a lot of my heart and sweat into it. It was my family's home. Then came the riots followed by the West Indians then the Mexicans and more violence. Somehow the good people don't come to Newburgh. When the Big City Slickers came in to take over and their crap made it just too miserable and my property value went down the sewer and my taxes went up and I worried about my childrens safety I knew it was time to get out!I sold the house at great loss and we moved. I won't say where because it's very nice here and I want it to stay that way. But I gained more by leaving because my children are safe and so is my home. Newburgh is a place for failure. From Clinton, NC to NYC, NY and other parts of the world. Newburgh is the shanty town of the world. It's where you go when you give up on life and hope to be with others like you. The ones who stay get what they want and deserve, more of their own kind. It's sad but the reality of the place. I've come to accept that. But if you don't want to give up and you really want to be a good person and contribute to a good world moving out really is the only way to go. Leave Newburgh to its destiny and if you want to watch a tragic story watch from a distance. I love this board for the same reasons Newburgh hates it. Here is the honest truth about Newburgh. Sad but true.
