While business goes on as usual here in Newburgh this matter gets addressed only by the private citizen. Is it any wonder that people decide that they have to take the matter into their own hands? It's almost apocolyptic. But when the people who are entrusted to protect fail, this is the result. Chaos turns into the voice of reason. I wonder how the newcomers feel now. All those people who got lured into Newburgh with promises of beautiful riverside living, ferry service to the train for a relaxed commute to big city salaries while living in low cost suburbia. It's not like nobody ever tried to warn them. But did they ever expect it to get this bad? 4000 keeps getting quoted and if that's even close to the fact we're in big trouble. But from the looks if it the number will just keep getting larger, people will turn to themselves for protection and when it comes down to it the whole place will become a battle zone. Oh well. Time to pack up the wagons and either head out or make a circle. High.yo!
