A 10th grader whose age at the time wasn't mentioned in the NYTimes coverage was making $2,500.00 a week.

Hello? She was only ONE person making that kind of money How many MORE eere making that and MORE? How many ARE STILL making that NOW? AND TAX FREE PEOPLE!

There IS money in Newburgh! LOTS of money! With $2,500.00 a week, think of what kind of rent that can pay. Think how much income that translates into for landlords. With that kind of rental income, think of what kind of maintenance can be done on property. Now go through the streets where this money is flowing and look at the houses. SLUMS! GARBAGE ALL OVER THE PLACE! KIDS RUNNING LOOSE DRESSED IN RAGS, UNDERNOURISHED, BEATING INNOCENT PEOPLE, ROBBING, MUGGING, MURDERING!

DON'T tell me they're "underprivileged", "underserved". THEY can afford their own healthcare. THEY can afford their own groceries. THEY can afford to pay their own way.

BUT THEY'RE getting Medicaid, WIC, Food Stamps, Section 8 and who knows what else.

With so much CASH flowing around Newburgh, there's NO excuse for not having public transportation, more law enforcement, REAL business in the city. But our government and government agencies give property away to tax exempts (phony churches, phony programs).

At $2,500.00 per week per person it's time to buy some heavy duty cleaners and clean house!

Where's all that cash (you don't buy dope on American Express) going?
